I was shown an image of former NFL player Sterling Sharpe, and this DIY head restraint contraption, using an extra pair of chinstraps attached to the shoulder pads and the back of his helmet.
It reminded me of the HANS system used in pro racing, so that's what lead me to this little project.

Daniel Ricciardo has worn a Texas Longhorn Football helmet skin on his race helmet before, so I didn't want to just repeat their white and orange look. Instead, I opted to go with his McLaren uniform and personal helmet design, adding the Longhorns logo.
